Our MISSION

We are motivated to do what we can to continue on in a positive way to help others as Nick surely would have done.  Our hope is that his life was not in vain. Our mission is to bring awareness and educate our community to the dangers of substance abuse.

Angels Against Addiction provides financial support for a multitude of recovery communities across Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties and Wilmington DE. 

Angels Against Addiction has sponsored local events and support organizations including Teach One Feed One, Savage Sisters, Sunday Love Project, The Shevlin Family Foundation and Angels in Motion.  

 

Angels Against Addiction has also collaborated with Sow Good Now to bring substance abuse awareness to the Kirkbride School volleyball program in South Philadelphia as well as the St. Maximilian Kolbe volleyball program in West Chester.

 

Angels Against Addiction produces and hosts a show on MLTV--Main Line Network, "You Are Not Alone". The show explores issues surrounding addiction.

Angels Against Addiction has appeared on PHL17’s documentary, “The Opioid Crisis” with Jennifer-Lewis Hall. 


Until COVID halted our efforts, Angels Against Addiction was providing monthly dinners for the Sunday Night Big Book Bonfire Meeting in West Chester.


During COVID Angels Against Addiction collaborated with Steps4Hope and The Fightin’ Frankie Foundation to provide grants totaling $45,000 to recovery houses that were in danger of closing. 


Founder Brenda Schivito participated in The Family Summit on the Opioid Epidemic hosted by the Drug Enforcement Administration in Washington DC. She serves on the Addiction/Mental Health and Outreach Committees at Westminster Presbyterian Church in West Chester, PA. Angels Against Addiction has presented awareness to area high schools. She also participates in local panel discussions.
